Rome is a sports commentator, Charlie. He used to have a show on ESPN called Rome is Burning. Not sure if it's still airing.

OOOH, I remember this, I was totally watching ESPN the day it happened. They aired it all day over and over. Jim Rome is one of my least favorite people.

He's AWFUL. Just awful. I forget if he was in my "People I hate but have never met" avatar series, but he certainly could've been. NO idea how his crap show has been on for so long.

That was outstanding. I remember it pretty well. Rome totally deserved what he got. But it was great publicity for him.
I must admit, I enjoy his rants at the beginning of Rome is Burning.

That was the unfortunate part. Sports radio is a lot of junk anyways, but he is probably the worst of the worst. He says one thing, pauses 5 seconds, repeats it slightly re-wording it....and that repeats 7-8 times.
