Exactly.

Basic economics there. It's only really an issue when you have things like chinese truffles being passed off and sold as french truffles, with the price difference there making the big deal. Apparently due to the mafia we are doing this with olive oil all the time.

I laughed when the Feds shut down these foreign websites selling NFL jerseys for $20 and were saying they were defrauding their customers, who thought they were getting official jerseys. Bullshit. People ordering those ordered them because they were getting the same quality product for $20 instead of $80. They knew they were getting knockoffs. They just didn't care.
20 dollars instead of 80? more like 20 instead of 200 or 300. I would bet that not one single person that ever ordered from those websites ever thought they were being defrauded.

God, the only thing worse than people who are "un-patriotic" are the people who are "ultra-patriotic".

The only winners in this spectrum, are the people who just don't give a fuck.

I believe they qualify as unpatriotic.

Good point. How about a beret?
Good point there, but for some reason they always wear them.
There is the "Green Berets".

I think we should be discussing more important things, you know like Hope Solo doing more interviews.
We might not hear much from Hope now that she has been warned about PED violations and now this.

http://www.freep.com/article/2012071...CFRONTPAGE%7Cs
U.S. women's soccer star Hope Solo is back in the headlines just days after making waves with a positive drug test.

This time, it's because of a tell-all interview in the "Body Issue" of "ESPN The Magazine."
In the interview, she admitted to appearing drunk on the "Today" show while being honored for the 2008 Olympic gold medal. The team's goalkeeper attributes that to spending the night before partying with her teammates and a few celebrities.
"When we were done partying, we got out of our nice dresses, got back into our stadium coats and, at 7 a.m. with no sleep, went on the 'Today' show drunk," she told "ESPN The Magazine."
"Vince Vaughn partied with us. Steve Byrne, the comedian," Solo continued. "And at some point we decided to take the party back to the village, so we started talking to the security guards, showed off our gold medals, got their attention and snuck our group through without credentials -- which is absolutely unheard of."
Solo went on to discuss the Olympic Village and the unique atmosphere it provides, but she wasn't the only athlete to speak out about it. One Olympian described it as a "frat party with a very nice gene pool."
"Athletes are extremists," Solo says. "When they're training, it's laser focus. When they go out for a drink, it's 20 drinks." What goes on inside the village was once left up to the public's imagination. However, with social media and the way athletes use Twitter today, a creative imagination might no longer be needed

$300 would be for the knitted jerseys. $80 for replicas.

Yeah right. Just like people buying a Rolex for $20 from a streetcorner bodega really think they are buying a real Rolex.
