At 71 points she's in decent enough position to medal on Thursday.

I think that was her personal best too. Her previous was 70 I think they said.

How many more skaters to go tonight?

Reminds me of Tiger and his father.

Hell of a skate for her with what she's going through.
I respectfully disagree.

Tiger's dad had already seen him succeed, and win, on multiple occasions.

This girl's focus, for God knows how long, has been pointed towards this night. With her mom, no doubt, at her side every step of the way.

And, then to lose your mom two nights prior to it... INFINITELY more difficult to perform that skate than hit any number of shots at a golf tournament.

I should have put it differently. I was thinking more of Tiger and his caddy Steve Williams after the win after Tiger's father passed. The whole breaking down after the round and crying in someone's arms deal.

Lefty, Canada is first and fourth in women's bobsled as well. They even set a track record on their first run (the pair in first).

Could be another good day tomorrow. I really hope I'm not stuck at work until 5 or 6. I don't have much to do, so I should be able to come home before lunch.

I see you are into butter faces.

First girl posted in the thread is hot.
You obviously haven't seen her other than the pics i posted.

I'm sure the girl you're fawning over sweats, too, when she's doing her event.

Joannie Rochette has a great shot at either silver or bronze.

I googled her since she was from my hometown and found an article about her. It mentioned our high school. It also mentioned her nickname which for some reason sounds more familar then her actual name.

Excellent showing!!

US men concede to China (China??) last night in Men's Curling.

And tonight the US Women concede to the Swiss in Curling.

Guess we're not all that great at ice bowling.

Yeah. Something like that was pretty obvious. No need for a question.

And this is a year where we just might eclipse our best Winter Olympics yet.

Interesting that Canada's got two strong chances to get a Gold in Curling.

They better. They'll need to make up for lesser/no medals in hockey.

NBC sucks.

So tonight after the US Women's Curling team conceded to the Swiss, i was online and saw that there was a Women's Curling match still in progress according to NBC's schedule...Canada vs Russia.

That said, *nowhere* on TV was it to be found...until Fred Roggin mentions- after the Men's hockey match on MSNBC- that Curling would be on 'late night' (12 midnight).

So i tune in and what's going on?? The 9AM match Canada vs GB...which i already knew Canada won over 12 hrs ago.

So i have to wait up until the wee hours if i wanna see the now-known Canadian victory over Russia.

Meanwhile, when MSNBC signed off of their Olympic coverage, they went to a replay of Olbermann's and Maddow's shows even though there were still 'Live' events to be determined.
