That is insane how high he gets up over the half pipe wall. I hope he throws his trick in his second run, probably won't have to, but I hope he does. I can't imagine him working on it for so long and keeping it in the bag and not throwing it. |

That half pipe goes up like 22 feet. He gets another 22-23 feet up in the air when he goes straight up at the top of his run. At least, that's what he did in the X Games a couple of weeks ago. |

Not really a fan of any event that requires judging to decide a winner, but these scores sure seem a hell of a lot more in line with the performances, opposed to the figure skating, which apparently looks like the scores were decided prior to actually watching any performances. Shaun White makes me want to pick up a skateboard, but then I remember that I have no charisma. |

If White hadn't slipped up some on that 2nd to last jump he probably wouldn't have kept the double mctwist in the bag. I'm thinking we'll see more falls in the next run as these guys push their limits. |
