Default Canada should never host the Olympics again
No offense to our canadian breathen but this has been a disaster.

First we all know about the luge course that was too hard and too fast to be safe.

Both the men and women complained that the cross country course was 'too easy' with no real defining part of the course.

Now the speedskating track is in shambles. 3 state of the art ice surfacing machine. None of them work. The track is melting andlooks more like a gravel road than an ice rink. Over an hour delay after the event started.

And we are only in day 4.

Calgary held a great Olympics in '88. I dont think one will see Vancouver being awarded another one anytime soon, though.

Then again, putting enough $$ in the IOC pouch would put the Olympics in Antartica, too..

The Antarctican Olympics would be awesome. I would love to see the tribute to the indigenous people and proud history there.

If Vancouver dropped an OBSCENE amount of $$ in the IOC's saddle bags, the Olympics would be back in the next 20 years...unless Vancouver continues to 'crap the bed' the way they have been that would preclude even the mightiest of bribes from being effective.

Can you imagine the logistics problems having the Olympics down there would pose?

LOL

I was thinking of the fun of getting people there. Then finding places for people to stay, read building places for them. Not to mention the real problem that most satellites are no on polar orbits so there is nowhere to send the feeds for the events. Oh well, sure would be fun to see anyway.

Take a look at the title of the thread. So you're blaming Vancouver/Canada for the weather?

McMurdo Station would be crowded to say the least.
