These of course are from Satanism, my religion, which I ramble about enough.
I am my own God, the center of my own subjective universe. Nothing supernatural about that. Just Self Interest. A lot of the "why" of the other tenets are related to this one. Avoid Stupidity and Learn from your mistakes. Indulge but do not be compelled. If you give up your free will to choose then you're just being subjugated. "Do something as long as its paying off for you." Don't kill except for survival. Live for the here and now because this is all we have. Do not harm children. Children are naturally uninhibited from the guilt which other people heap on themselves and, like animals, are naturally Satanic in that respect. Don't pollute your body and dilute the power of your mind with drugs. Again, your body is the only one you have. Why would you not want to take care of it? Follow and respect the laws of your land. This is of course conditional, but many of the excuses people have and the conditions by which people constantly break the law are stupid and not based on a sense of Justice. |

Alright, I've had my little laugh. Now for the serious answer.
I am a Pantheist. This arises partly from a chain of logic. What happens when you step outside of Time/Space? Without Space, there is no division or seperation of any kind. Without Time, there is no duration or change. This is as much a matter of physics as mysticim. The result of going outside of Space/Time? An indivisible, unchanging unity. Note: The difference between Atheism -- Nothing is God -- and Pantheism -- Everything is God -- is pure semantics. I just prefer talking about what I believe in; instead of what I don't believe in. I do not believe in a personal God. I do see a unity behind all things. There are no "tenets." This is Pantheism. Jonathan Lobl |

this sounds like a description for buddhism ... I agree that Buddhism and Taoism do have a lot in common. ... and i would add,you are responsible for your own actions and their result. Peace & Love! |
