PS Route 13 in Croydon is readily accessible from the Woodhaven and Street Road exits of I-95, being closer to the Woodhaven exit.

Are these the nutjobs who actually nail themselves or just people who think their God would be impressed by them reenacting his moment of pain and suffering?

This is a solemn season for Christians. Please have some respect for how they choose to worship.

Would you chastise a Jew for not eating bread for the next eight days? Or a Muslim for fasting at Ramadan.

I am a churchgoer, though not a strong believer. I find the Easter rituals comforting. If you don't, I respect that. Please do the same.

Thank you. It's one thing to not believe, it's completely another to mock derisively.

Knock it off Dayman.

Do you find the simulation of the torture and murder of a human being comforting? I did not, even for the 18 years when I was a believer. I don't care that you worship or that you have your ceremonies, that is your business, what I have a problem with is a "road of pain" that comes with a warning for children and young teens. Passion of the Christ came out when I was still Catholic, and I found it disgusting and exploitative. I don't have a problem with your remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice, or your religion period. You know that. I might make fun, but I've always found the passion play gross.

And yes, if they do actually nail themselves, like the Filipinos who do that, they are crazy. When you harm yourself because of anything that is crazy.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Passion Plays. I didn't see the Passion of the Christ. The rituals I find comforting are things like the Procession of Palms, The Maundy Thursday service of foot-washing and stripping of altars, and the vigil at the altar of repose. That being said, I don't feel the need to make fun of, mock, or deride what someone else finds moving.

I'm not mocking it, I don't like it. There is a difference. I know I joke a lot at the expense of the faithful but I really don't care what you believe. This is something that does bother me legit and always did.

Oh brother. Nobody is nailing themselves to a cross in Croydon.

Not without help, anyways. I've tried nailing myself to the cross, and you can never manage to drive that last nail.

There are people who actually have themselves nailed.
