Sarcastically calling someone Magellan would usually be to poke fun at their poor navigation skills since Magellan led the first circumnavigation of the earth. If you want to take a general shot at someone's intelligence or reasoning, it's better to use someone known primarily for their intelligence, Einstein.

As far as Evolution. Its a fact and theory and a very reliable model. Once we can provide testable data for talking fire & snakes, dragons, sacrificial offerings to heal etc then we should teach it.
We can start with LSD!

Yeah, I know haha. I didn't want to go with an Einstein because it was too obvious. I understood it was a reach.

How did we all gloss over that he just said evolution is BS?

Please explain how evolution is BS, Beethoven.

Yet he calls the Koran a book of fairy tales. This is why I am against religion. It removes reason from the equation. I just don't understand how you can say evolution is b.s. if you have 10 braincells.

You know this whole anti-evolution thing was covered here a while ago. It was great fun and I really miss it. Let's do it again.

Cherrybomb, master grammarian, why do you say that evolution is BS? What evidence can you cite?

Haha me too. Debunking mined quotes and questionably-accurate "information"? Let's do it again!

I got in here at the height of Humber's meltdown. Cherrybomb is no Humber. At least Paul offered to buy me dinner in Manayunk so he could convert me haha.

Note to missionaries:

Start with children that can't think for themselves, as you don't always get too far with adults.
HAPPY adults....That is the key. Go to a place that isn't happy and you can feed them anything..See Xenu...

One could argue that the person he was quoting did display poor navigational skills, in that he failed to navigate his head high enough to catch the point of my post.

Yes, indeed. He really makes things interesting around here. If he weren't so cranky, one might even say he's the Christine O'Donnell of PhillySpeaks -- well, at least in his views on evolution. In case you missed it, this is a must-see.
