Just as refusing to use proper punctuation and capitalization does not mean you're ee cummings, believing in God doesn't mean you're crazy. It's one of those things you've got to work at.
lots of crazies around here for sure

its really hard to fathom that people believe in fairy tales

Hey, whatever gets you through the day. As long as they're not pushing their beliefs on me, I don't judge, nor do I care, what people believe.

If you don't believe in God, that's fine. You probably don't believe because rational human reasoning would deny any such thing. But there is a limit to what a human can know and comprehend living on a spec in an infinite universe. Considering that the infinite expanse is completely unknown to us, I think it's silly, pig headed, and arrogant to call people of faith crazy as a matter of fact.

Many people who have completed long careers as world renowned researchers in the sciences, wouldn't make such a statement but you seem to choose to do so with such confidence. What are your credentials that you feel the need to belittle me from your pulpit, o wise sage?

He's a jackass.

I mean I don't believe in god, I have not found any reason or evidence to compel me to think there is one...but I'm not a jackass about it.

God broke that patio chair because you don't believe in him.

Nope. God did it. I saw Humber outside praying for YHWH to smite the heathen PSers.

Yes, you can believe in God without being insane. There are plenty of very rational Deists or pantheists. Believing in an exclusionary Christian God with a fundamentalist mindset is a sure indicator of a narrow and dogmatic mind, however.

People who believe in "God" are OK,

People who blindly follow men/woman in the name of religious righteousness CERTAINLY NEED TO BE LOCKED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life would be a lot more beautiful without them.

of course they do

it has to be characterized as a mental disease
No.
Mind, I don't cotton to organized religion, but I hold out hope that there might be a rational force (what I tend to refer to as the Creator) to explain some things our human minds cannot rationalize.

However, to each his own. If believing in a god or gods gets you through the day, I see nothing wrong with it, and I will be the first to defend your right to do so, but when you push your beliefs on me or harm another soul in the the name of said religious belief, then I have a problem.

THERE I SAID IT
