That's like saying "Don't like racism? Then don't join the KKK." From the POV of a pro-life individual, a life is being taken. If you don't agree with that, then fine....but the "don't have one" argument isn't really a valid argument. |

The anti-abortion people seem to think that abortion didn't exist before Roe v. Wade. The truth is that abortion before the Supreme Court ruling was a back alley affair in which women frequently died. Women have sought abortion for various reasons for thousands of years. Also, that commonly cited "fact" of thousands of women dying every year prior to Roe v Wade was made up. We know that because one of the men instrumental in the founding of the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws - Dr. Bernard Nathanson (himself an abortion provider) - has come forward and admitted they made up the statistic in order to gain sympathy and swing public opinion to their view. A man who later ended up profiting from the legalization of abortion admitted that he and others conspired to create false statistics in an attempt to change the law. |

If it concerns them so much, why don't I see the same people protesting at prisons when the death penalty is due to be carried out? For those who do oppose both, the argument that its a numbers game is valid -over a million lives ended through abortion each year, compared to several dozen executed. Regardless, there are numerous organizations opposed to both. Some can be found on the list of member organizations at Consistent Life - Member Organizations List |

Paul - I understand and respect the anti-abortion, pro-life position, though I cannot wholly endorse it, but this quote worries me: |

Who has more of a blood lust than abortionists? I mean, seriously. How does someone cry about torturing terrorists, but feel OK about abortion? I did not intend to get off topic, but many of the people that you speak of actually follow the teachings of Jesus. However [citation needed] |
