When I first heard of the Conservative Bible Project I thought it had to be some sort of wonderful joke reminiscent of the early Landover Baptist Church site. Sadly, it's real. This offends me, and I'm an atheist.

Oh for God's sakes...'the NIV is written only at a 7th grade level...' Who are these idiots? Translation is an exceedingly tricky business, and frankly if your logic depends on a reading in one language that isn't available in another, then how can it be logical at all?
The OT was written in Hebrew and Aramaic. Jesus spoke Aramaic, as did most Judaeans of his day. The NT was written in Greek, primarily because most of the NT that comes to us was written for Gentile conversion--and they, by and large, in the Eastern Roman world, were kóinê Greek speakers. |

Accept the Logic of Hell: applying logic with its full force and effect, as in not denying or downplaying the very real existence of Hell or the Devil. Well, the problem there is that the "devil" and the concept of hell don't really show up in the Bible. Socialistic terminology permeates English translations of the Bible, without justification. This improperly encourages the "social justice" movement among Christians. Well, that's going to be difficult, as Jesus was basically running a commune.
