Default Do you believe in miracles?
Have you ever had something out of the ordinary happen, something so beyond the realm of possibility, that you felt you'd witnessed a miracle?

I don't believe in miracles. Just big coincidences.

As per a New Age platitude, "A coincidence is a tiny miracle in which God chooses to remain anonymous." Or something like that.

I agree, some coincidences are bigger than others, I call those extraordinary coincidences.

But did you ever had one that made you think a big ole WTF? Like one that made you *feel* like God was talking to you?

I once pulled out a potato chip that looked like Pop Eye. I didn't any magnificient design from heaven. Just a factory error. Then again I guess people see what they want to see.

Maybe we need to channel the spirit of Rod Serling to figure it out:

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

perhaps the woman in that picture, bless her heart, needs a miracle to change her looks, at least a new lipstick shade.

Hi Alley! I've been here but not been seeing you post as much recently! I guess we've both not been reading the right threads! How have you been? And where's Elfreth?-- he looks to be very busy to not be posting at all lately.

you should read the "what makes women intimidating" thread to find a lot of my recent posts...and then you might change your mind about reading my posts because you'll get creeped out!

Yes, and it happened Sunday, September 23, 2009 around 4:10 in the afternoon in Flushing, NY.

Who should I put my money on in the Eagles opener?

Mr. Towel I am a complete dope. It should have read August not September. Referring to Bruntlett's triple play.

I had September on my mind because I was talking to an old girlfriend about her upcoming birthday.

Speaking of the Eagles - I could only get half price for my preseason tix this year. I usually just give them away but I needed the loot.
