Default I am looking to get a red nose pit and I have some questions plz reply!
Hey everyone I am new to this site, I have some qusetions maybe you could help with? I am looking to get a red nose pit sometime soon and I am just curious as to how big in size they get height wise? Also what is the difference between all the breeds: bloodline, gotti, etc. Or is there even a difference? Also from doing some research I have read that these dogs will be very calm and social with other dogs but then randomly they get an erge to fight with other dogs is that true? Please reply! Thanks

Welcome to the Forum!! Im glad you are taking the time to learn more about the breed(s) we love.

One of the first things you should know is that "red nose" is not a blood line. Its a color. Black nose, blue nose, red nose...all are descriptions. Two: Gotti, Razors edge, ETC. are more along the lines of American Bully (a breed derived from AmStaffs and APBTs). Im sure another, more experienced member can answer the dog aggression question for you. Im still learning myself!

Red nose is just the color or the nose nothing more nothing less, as for bloodline yes theres a difference gotti is not a apbt bloodline size varies they are a mediam size breed so they shouldnt b huge and yes dog aggression is a probability

Thanks for the reply! So would a red nose pit be more aggressive than a regualar pitbull or are they all the same? And since it's a red nose does that make it not a full bread american pitbull terior? Also would you say it would be a good idea to get a red nose? I have never owned a pitbull before, Im not totally new to having a dog I have had lab's before.

"red nose" means nothing other than the dog happened to be born with a red colored nose. Nothing to do with blood line or how good the dog is.

Gotto, Razors edge etc are not Pit Bulls, they are American Bullies. Pit bulls are thin and medium sized. If you want a bulky, muscular "pit type" then you should look more into American Bullies.

Dog aggression is a big factor since these dogs were bred for the purpose of dog fighting.

I hope this helped. Please let me know if you have more questions. We have a lot of very knowledgable members here

and welcome!

Excuse me, *Gotti

Also you should know.. most of people who breed "pits" out of their homes are what we call "back yard breeders". They are in it for the money and breed poorly bred dogs and theyre not usually pit bulls, theyre mixes. So watch out! Either buy from a legitimite kennel or adopt from a rescue. Soooo many pit bulls get killed in shelters every year so adopting is the BEST option.

Red.nose is just that a red nose. Dog aggression is common and accepted in the breed. If you can't deal with dog aggression don't get a pit bully type dog or any terrier.

dogs never just snap there is always warning signs and it is our job as owners to recognize these signs.

Thanks for the reply! So would a red nose pit be more aggressive than a regular pit bull or are they all the same? And since it's a red nose does that make it not a full bred American pit bull terrier?
Fixed the spelling for ya!

Dogs are individuals. You can have two pups from the same littler with one being super drivey and another chill around other dogs. That aggression thing is just something you'll have to wait and observe in your own dog.

RED NOSE is a color. An AmBully or an APBT could have a red nose, just like an AmBully or APBT could have brown fur. Having a red nose doesn't influence dogs' behavior.

are you reading the replies?
a red nose pit bull is just that a pit bull with a red nose, it's the same exact breed as a pit bull with a black nose.

When/if you decide to buy a bully breed if the breeder/seller is using terms like "red nose" or "blue nose" or "gotti" or "razers edge" these are BIG RED FLAGS. It means the seller is uneducated and likley trying to sell you a poorly bred, overly priced piece of shit.
