Sorry for your loss, this things just break my heart.
I can understand, last year we have to PTS our Ella a rottie-GSD-lab mix, she was five, and had a lymphoma i think type B 4 (or 5), we loved her so much and she loved us accordingly, we give her the best treatement available, chimo for 14 month until it was nothing more to do, the oncologist treating her was telling us since a few month before that she was getting to the end because the products that they give her in rotation usually don't operate anymore after a few rounds, she had a great quality of life up to the last day, we knew for more than a year that that moment was going to arrive, and prepare ourselves, no difference, devastating, galons of tears....

Again, I feel for you and your family.
