Show him a vid of dogs weight pulling thousands of pounds lol

My ex was the same way. Thought he would pull apart any 2 dogs fighting "they're just dogs"
I tried to explain to him bite sticks, and how pulling dogs apart is just asking to get bit. Ignorant people don't want to learn.

i have showed him, he says its easy because there are wheels on it, and that a person could do it too.

A true friend would be there at the hospital with him to give him something to cheer him up while the docs try and reattach the nerves in his arm. Maybe a balloon that says " I told you so, dumbass" would be appropriate.
LOL this quote is epic!

Then find ones where they are pulling parked cars! Regardless of wheels or not; thats a lot of weight for a fucking dog to pull. Also i'm sure there are some with dogs pulling thousands of pounds straight on the ground.

Just let it happen. When he tries it, try to get pictures.

I stopped right here!!!!

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking...just follow him around with a video camera.

I hear you can make money off of videos on youtube when they go viral.

To make it a good viral video you need to get him telling the camera all about his expert opinions and how he can break up the fight with his arm first. Then you tack on the footage of him trying it.

No way in hell would I ever try to break up a dog fight with my bare hands by myself. I will never put myself or my dog in that situation again. Been there and done that.
Here is a pretty good way I have used before. The one person method.

Any stories from people with multiple bull dogs?

I was pulling a piece of plastic out of my 9wk old pups mouth and she bite down right when my index finger was on her back teeth(where most of the pressure is) and it hurt like hell! She even drew a little blood! Now imagine 2 mature male pits in battle! Small chance but I bet your friend could possibly get killed.

Default break up a dog fight with your arm?
A good friend of mine believes that he could break up a fight between any dogs (including apbts) with his arm, he says you can just shove your arm in one of the dogs mouths and separate them, or you could just pry the dogs mouth open with your hands. He "knows" he can do this because he has taken things out of a dogs mouth that the dog didn't want to let go of,i told him that's just a good way to get bit and that the dogs are stronger than he thinks, he just says people are stronger than dogs, and his example proving this is that some people can lift cars.

he says that i over complicate things, and i make dogs seem stronger than they are.
there's no sense arguing i swear he thinks he's invincible..

what are your thoughts on this?
do you know of anything i can show him that could perhaps change his mind?

And when your friend calls you from the hospital and tells you how many stitches he got from sticking his arm in a dogs mouth during a fight; I hope it reminds you not to do this.

Didn't read the whole thing but that first part was enough for me. Your friend is Stupid.

Perhaps try explaining to him that the mindset of a dog in fight mode is just a weeee bit different than that of a dog who found a tasty looking sock on the ground?

I know that the idea is stupid, have broken up many fights, and wouldn't even think about putting part of my body that close to a fighting dogs mouth,

The thing is he really isn't that stupid, i mean his thoughts on this are BEYOND stupid, but in general he isn't a stupid guy, which is probably why his thoughts on this erk me so much...it's so frustrating.
Like how can such a smart person have such a idiotic idea in his head and even a person who has broken up many fights, can't convince him it's not a good idea....
Perhaps if i get more replies i will show him this thread.
