That's too bad but I know the right one will fall in your lap soon.

the s/o doesn't want catahoulabeagles.....says that'd be too loud
I would have to agree with him - though I bet it would be an awesome dog!

I'm hoping so soon, one of my dream dogs was listed just recently, so I might call them to see how much they are and see if they have any males.

Well the guy wants too much for him, so no new puppy right now. I'll keep looking for a pup and the s/o doesn't want catahoulabeagles.....says that'd be too loud
But you already have a beagle who bays at any and every thing. What's one more talkative dog?

Cause this time he wants a dog that gets over 70lbs I kinda agree with him. I'd love a big dog as well, hince why the American Bulldog was our compromise...and I'm also on the look out for Rotties as well.

I love AB's more than I ever expected. Raising and sharing your life with one is an experience. With the breeds increasing popularity there are so many crappy BYB's I would get another only from a good breeder or a good rescue that vouches for temperament.

Can I ask a question without trying to seem rude?
What happened to your moms dog, wasn't there some big deal going on about how he was your childhood dog and you couldnt keep him because you couldn't have anymore dogs?
It's just something I've been wondering.

The Catahoula x pups are cute but my god the barking would be terrible!

Moe the Dachshund, I LITERALLY could not keep, because my dogs have to be outside. A Dachshund with special needs is not cut out to live outside. As much as I would love to keep Moe, I couldn't. But somethings came up and I was given the go ahead to look for another puppy. I've been searching for a few months now and I'm in no rush

Thanks for answering and not taking it offensively!
I figured there was a good reason.
Not a problem....not to mention the medical bills that come with a Dachshund, that has allergies, is mentally retarded, has a bad back, going blind and deaf and is barely 8 years old . But I do miss the hell out of him. My mom did end up keeping him.

Good to hear and ya I've heard of so many problems with their backs and them breaking them so easily.
Did you give up on the Labs (you crazy ass!)

Yeah, love Moe...NEVER having another Dachshund EVER.
Nope . This time we just want something that's big and guard dogish . I'll have my Lab, but a sport dog can wait.

Get an AB from people who breed Schutzhund dogs. Both a guard dog and a sporting dog

Maybe I'm trying to live vicariously. I wanted to do Schutzhund with Ike but he's too much of a marshmallow and the club I went to said he wasn't suited.
