Default Gotta brag a little.....
I take my Ruca just about anyplace she is allowed. Every weekend we are often at my friends house, her pit shepherd mix, Luna and Ruca are best of friends. We had the mountain bikers over to bar b que after riding. 12-15 adults and a few teenagers, food everywhere. Both dogs were SO good. They normally are but it was just a great day. Every one remarked Wow what great dogs! I work every day to maintain a level of socialization, training and exercise for Ruca to help dispel the myth that pits are monster people eaters. She has yet to make a mistake. I never, ever let my guard down around dogs, animals, kids etc. EVER. Because if she made a mistake, I feel like I failed her somewhere. But she hasnt screwed it up yet. Such a good dog. Loving loyal and faithful companion. I can't say enough good things about her. Only breed I will have.

Thank you, thats what I aim for. These wonderful wonderful dogs. People seem to attach these mythological properties to them when they are not a lock jawed murderous marauding devil on four legs. They are just a dog. And damn good ones if you know what you are doing.

Yup they think these dogs are like the devil walking on four legs. It's horrible. I was walking my friend's pit and a lady dragged her child halfway across the street just to get away from me. Thanks. Like that didn't hurt his feeling. He loves attention and he loves children.
