We mostly do it ourselves. The shampooing the dog, brushing him, and doing his nails are all pretty easy. The cats mostly take care of themselves and don't need much beyond just brushing.

We do still take the dog in to have some of it done, though, because it's so much easier. He's not thrilled with baths and we don't have a great setup to do it on our own where we live now.

Default Grooming Your Pets
Do you know how to groom your own pets? Can you wash them, cut their coat and nails? Or do you take them to Petco or your local groomer and pay 40- 60 dollars to get them cleaned and cut?

We normally always take our dogs to our local groomers or will support people in our community who are trying to start their business.

We do some touch ups every once and a while. Especially on our cockapoo Oscar. He grows fur like I have never seen, always getting in his eyes. We have to trim him up so he doesn't keep walking into the coffee table.

My nan has a woman come over for her dog. She has a Bichon Frise (sp), and the little bugger gets so dirty, long haired etc so she just has someone come over every couple months I think? But I go over to my nans to help wash the dog when he gets too dirty.
He doesn't really mind.
