I had never heard it before I met you. My cat used to growl. But your cats cackle is really quite weird tbh.

No just Lily, she is the only cat I have ever seen do anything like that when seeing birds. Very odd.

So...when my cat sees a bird in the garden she cackles. Was wondering if anyone elses does it or if it is just my weirdo cat. Never had seen it before with cats but she has done it since she was a kitten. Its a weird whisker twitching cackely meow things. Very odd haha. Anyone else have this with their cats?

I must say that my cats never did anything unusual - accept they never developed a love to look out the window. Maybe you should grab a camera and film your cat. Send the video to one of those Funny Pet shows and make yourself some money.

Nope. My cat has never cackled. She meows and sneezes but no cackling here. You have a special one there.

She is very special :P A very calm and timid cat, but when inside and the door is shut, she cackles at birds she can see outside.
