My little chihuahua got into a heated fight with a cat. It was one of the scariest and craziest things ever. She and the cat were having a brawl in this tunnel near my home (it was too small for us to fit into). I spent some time shouting for her and when she did finally make an appearance her face was all bloody. I completely freaked out. Turns out it was nothing too serious, her ear got scratched up. We got her patched up but it was truly a scary experience.

What is with chihuahuas and being so brave? My parents have a chihuahua and she is so tempermental. She chases squirrels and everything. And she does not like my dog. My dog is twice her size. Part Jack Russell and pit bull. But my baby is sweet and likes to play with her. It's not a great combination.
It is hard to think of the craziest thing my dog has done. She is always doing something crazy. Let's see. My dog almost ripped the bumper off my minivan. Her lease got caught in it and she was so excited to see my parents. She almost ripped it off from pure strength. ![]() |

I've always wondered that too. My chihuahuas think they are the kings of the world, definitely high maintenance. I feel sorry for my neighbor's dog. He is such a nice and docile dog but my babies constantly bully that poor thing.
@Jessi: Your poor dog. Sometimes being the peace keeper is really hard work. Wow classy_ally, your dog must be very strong to be able to rip a bumper off. Aren't those things bolted down? |

Wow, glad she was okay. Mine has done the same thing when the two cats are fighting. For whatever reason, he thinks he should be a part of it, too, but he's the one who ends up hurt! He's not aggressive himself and is rather old, so he doesn't even try biting....but is in the middle when the claws are fighting.

![]() A month ago, we bought Peanuts a squeaky toy. I would hide it often so she gets to miss it and will not grow bored immediately. After some while, I was more thankful to find out that she no longer needs me to play with her- so she's starting to grow independent. However, what I didn't expect was that now, she would pick up the ball, go up the couch, drop it from there and then lunge again to catch it. And what makes this more interesting is, I would hear her whine in response whenever the toy squeaks- as if she's talking it. |
