Anything other than their toys lol. Shoelaces and a sprout are the oddest things i think. Oh and their own tail or nothing at all, they have a wild time with nothing at all haha

My cat really loves tin foil! I don't know why! She shreds it and then rolls around with it like a maniac.

Default Odd things your cat plays with
Well, when I got Morgan she had all the cat toys I could think of. Some of which she played with and some not. But now she's older she ignores all her toys in favour of my hair band! You know the sort, it's just a ring of elastic really with a little metal bit, but if I put one down anywhere it's gone when I go back for it. And there goes Morgan, carrying it in her mouth like its a little kitten, shortly followed by her chasing it and pinging it all over the place. She has more fun with my hair band than she every did with any of her cat toys - except for a piece of string that is lol!

So what odd thing does your cat play with?

I crumple up piece of paper into little balls and throw them. The cat goes nuts chasing after it and batting it around. I even kick the little paper balls at her and she swats them away like a goalie. So funny.

I have the same issue. I have a small box of toys for my cat and they all sit there. The ordinary items around the house she is fascinated by are newspapers, empty small/shoe boxes, and plastic bags and rubber bands. I have to watch her like a hawk because she chews on the plastic and rubber bands as well and I don't want her to choke.

I strangely found a tampon that my kitten managed to get out of the wrapper and play with. :/

Our Maine Coons love to play with anything that isn't a cat toy...
Our boy, Max, loves to play with ring pulls from milk bottles, milk bottle caps (the plastic ones) and when he is done playing with them, he will stash them in one of our shoes
Our girl, Tamarin (Tammy for short) doesn't play as much as she used to but when she does, her toys include shoelaces still on the shoes, tissue paper, toilet roll tubes and generally whatever she can find that isn't meant for playing with!
Max also loves playing in boxes, he'll hide in one, and bat at your foot from underneath the box as you're walking past, it's so funny to watch this happen with guests!

Jens cat was chasing around the garden earlier trying to capture the rain.
Was so tempted to go find my phone to video it. but it was over before I knew it and she'd gone to other gardens to run around.

My cat is also a tin foil freak. She likes it rolled up tight into a ball so she can bat it around and snag it with her claws. She also loves Q-tips. She likes to pull the cotton off the tips. Thank goodness she doesn't want to eat it. She just leave little puffs around when she can get one.

Our cat plays with q-tips. You can't stop him. If you put them in the trash, he digs them out. He chews on them until the cotton is completely gone.

He also plays with legos. He picks them up with his mouth, and carries them to hard surfaces only. He then bats at them for hours on end... most of the time, it's at 2 in the morning.

My Bengal, Phoebe not only will play with those hair bands, but if there are none on the floor, she will search the house for one. If she finds it, she will throw it up in the air and chase it. If I throw it, she will fetch it like a dog.

My cat Dolores and I both have a thing for pine cones. I brought home a couple of pine cones from a Japanese botanical garden in Florida that I found on the ground. She found them and started swatting them around on the floor. A neighbor of mine had a tall tree that dropped a couple of huge pine cones. I thought they were cool and brought them home for my collection. Dolores found them and started knocking them around on the floor.

So we have this little dance that we do where I collect nature stuff and she destroys it. I still have no idea what she did with the peacock feather I brought home last week.

Our cat prefer to play anything that moves like a thread moved by the wind or a hanging decor that is moving than a rolling ball.
His favorite game is "running around fast like crazy as if something is to be chased and then go meow". LOL

Well my cat loves her tail more than anything else. I have seen her chasing her tail for almost an hour :P. I also got her a small hairy ball that makes a strange cracking noise when you touch it. It drives her insane, she takes it and jumps, spins and rolls around with the ball in her teeth. It is a good toy that keeps her busy when i need to have some time away. She also likes carrots, i have no idea why but she does.

Tried every toy under the sun with Xena and nothing, she looks at it, looks at me, flicks her tail in disgust and the buggers off! But if I accidentily drop ine of those silly plastic tie thingys you get with food bags or a frozen pea she turns into the worlds most wide eyed playful kitten bounding about and chasing it all the around the floor like its the greatest toy on the planet. Cats are odd lil creatures!

My old guy doesn't play as much as he used to, but he still likes the plastic rings from milk jugs. He likes to carry them around and hide them in our shoes.

The cats at the animal shelter (where I work) love to play with my hair, my name tag, my glasses - anything they can get to. We give them plenty of toys, but I guess they like playing with the humans for variety.
