I just saw this last night on Animal Planet (I live in the U.S. on the east coast). I think it actually came out quite a while ago. Sorry, if this has been talked about before. I did a search, but nothing came up. I believe it's a Canadian made film and was shot in Toronto. It follows 4 women who are considered cat ladies. The most outrageous one was a lady who had 123 cats. She was rescuing them, but couldn't find any adoptive parents. She did admit that she had become addicted to "saving them". I think she did mean well, but that is incredibly excessive. Then there was another lady who was thought to be a hoarder, but she didn't consider herself that way. Another lady wasn't the typical cat lady you would imagine. She's quite young and attractive and living with 16 cats. She doesn't want to become a cat lady or be known as one, but she loves her cats. And the woman who touched my heart was Margot (and the only name I remember). She had just 3 cats and was a big cat fan. Margot seems like a sweet person and her cats are everything to her. I could completely understand what it is to have an animal companion in your life. I missed the ending and I don't know if the documentary updates us about what is going on with the ladies after filming ended. I hope the women and the cats are okay. Has anyone else seen this film? What are your thoughts?

I live on the East Coast too and never saw this documentary. So what was the point of the documentary again? Were these cat ladies saving animals but couldn't save themselves? You mentioned one was a hoarder and the other owned over 100+ cats. Or was animal control services called on these ladies? I wonder what happened at the end. I watch Animal Planet once in a while, but I never caught this episode.
