That's hilarious! Well, probably not so much at that exact moment . I think I would prefer an animal "alarm clock" over an electronic one, the only problem is that the animal clock sets itself, lol. I used to have a house rabbit (well, I had a rabbit proof room for him to roam around) that woke me up from a nap. His whiskers were tickling my face and I woke up with a smile on my face. It was so cute. Another time, I went on vacation with some friends and their Maltese dog. I was just waking up, my eyes were barely open, and I see the dog staring at me. Suddenly he bounds over at me and starts licking and slobbering all over my face like crazy. I, of course, was then fully awake. I look around at my friends and they're peacefully fast asleep.

Lol! I know that feeling. Last week I woke up in a similar fog and went through all the motions of the dog whining for this and the cat crying for food. Then the other kitty was tripping me up and fussing at the dog, while the outside cat was meowing at the door. I made it through all the food stuff, went to get myself a drink, and that's when it clicked just how early it was. Wtf? I went back to sleep instead, lol.

Default What a way to start the day
It's super hot here so I was sleeping without a duvet or anything on. I have a cold, and bad hayfever so I'm pretty blocked up and not sleeping so great at the moment, but I'd finally drifted off to sleep, despite the ridiculously tropical weather. Then I wake up and there's a really heavy pressure on my chest, I was still half asleep and groggy so I was thinking why can't I breathe, what's going on! I open my eyes, and literally, an inch in front of my face is Cleo, eyes wide open, just staring at me... lying down right in the middle of my chest! I was totally startled and shouted "Holy ", which of course, woke Ben up too.

Then the dog see's I'm awake so she starts bringing me various gifts she can find for the morning presentation - socks, shoes, an empty bowl she found, etc.. as she often does. So I give in, get up, let the dog out into the garden, turn around - notice on the clock - it's 5:30am!!

Haha. What an adorable story! At least you have a cute alarm clock! I would rather get woken up like that than by that oh so lovely alarm clock noise... Haha.

That's cute. They were waiting for you to wake up and the dog even had a presentation all prepared for you. Don't you just feel so special?

I think mine can tell from the flicker of an eyelash or a slight hitch in my breathing, something, that I'm on the edge between asleep and awake and darn it if she doesn't take advantage of that split second. She starts grooming me or nudging my head and mewing in my ear. She wants me to "freshen" her bowl. There's food in it! It's just not MOIST enough for her royal heineyness!

Luckily, she usually lets me go back to bed after serving her majesty.

Ha Ha! When the cat is up everyone else must be too! Your story reminds me of my old deceased cat. She was a big girl. When she would climb on the bed and on my chest I could barely move, but she always seemed to know when I was feeling ill or just ready to bother me so I could give her treats.
