Default Cat with runny eyes
My cat seems to have quite weepy eyes lately, only the past few days or so, does anyone know what it could be or how I can clear it up?

It usually is a cold and quite common this time of year too with pollen and things. I usually just have a damp cloth and giving it a wipe off otherwise it dries and gets crusty. It usually will clear up after 2 weeks or less but obviously if it looks very bad and your cat seems off in character then trip to the vets it is. Good luck with it and hope your cat gets better soon

Cold black tea is fantastic for runny eyes and such, just give them a wipe with a cotton ball dipped in swome cold tea, but if it does continue then I would say definatley a vet visit.

I've used cold black tea successfully too, but once when Cleo started getting some quite thick gunk in her eye she needed antibiotic drops from the vet. If it gets thick / discoloured at all I'd say a vets trip is in order.

I use cold used tea bags and just wipe them over the cats eyes if they're a bit runny. It has some mystical healing properties (well, probably not mystical, but still) and is really good at clearing up minor eye problems.

I havent experienced runny eyes.
However, Jens cat keeps dribbling on me.
And last night she came over, sat on my lap, then sneezed on me! wetness everywhere.
Think she has a cold.

Glad I stumbled across this, i've been having to clean my cat's "tears" every day lately, sometimes twice a day. I did wonder why! Poor old thing.
