Just wanted to share info on this cool group. I know there are a few people on here in the area. Don't know if any of you are runners

Mission - Our primary mission is to connect Philadelphia runners with homeless dogs as running companions. We provide ongoing support for various shelter facilities in Philly through sponsored adoption events and daily running adventures for the homeless dogs as they wait for their forever homes.

Our Goals:

1. To offer dogs in the Philadelphia shelters a form of regular, vigorous exercise
2. Bring about a sense of calm in the dogs, to facilitate quicker adoptions
3. Attend annual running events and races to find loving homes for shelter dogs
4. Encourage runners to adopt dogs for safety, friendship, and motivation.
5. Recruit more volunteers for Philadelphia’s shelters, not only for running purposes.
6. Increase public awareness about the plight of the30,000+ homeless pets that enter Philadelphia’s animal shelters each year.

I wish somebody would set up something like this where I live.

Way to go. Saving the invisible dogs and making them visible.
