Nero is my embarrassment, there's no clipping his nails now, he will try and bite, he was like that when I got him, got it mostly under control and then quicked him, took forever to get him back to where I could clip them all again, quicked him again, he's such a wuss. I got a couple done the other day but it's hard because he is so strong I can't really hold him down and I have to hold his head so he can't think about biting me, his nails are so long it just drives me nuts. We tried to get the vets to do it last year, they had him muzzled and 3-4 people holding him down and he was just spazzing. Ended up putting him under to do it and probably going to do the same from now on. Ripley doesn't like it but I just hold her down and do it anyways, Jersey doesn't like it either but is used to the routine and just acts like I am killing her the whole time. I use clippers though I should try to get them all used to a dremel and see how that goes instead. The worst so far has probably been my little ferret Pandora, last year I wanted a blood glucose run on her and they couldn't get any blood out of her, she bit and peed on them and turned into a little vicious weasel. This year she needed a implant put in so they just knocked her out rather than fight with her and got blood then. And she's all of 1.5 pounds!
