Default dogs or bitches?
just wondering what you prefer. I personally prefer bitches because all of the bitches I have had were a) smarter and b) more of MY dog as opposed to everyone dog

Generally, and this is a hard choice for me, I'm gonna say I like bitches just a tad bit more. Even though though they can be, well, bitchy!

For me it all depends on whether they will be intact or not. If so, dogs all the way. Otherwise I've had both and don't see a big difference myself though I notice I tend to prefer dogs for no particular reason.

Dogs. I love Piper but she can be so hard headed. My boys do what I say, when I say it, no matter what. Piper questions me. There's a saying in the horse would "You can tell a gelding, ask a stallion, but you must discuss it with a mare." This holds true for just about any female I've ever met! Piper is by far my sweetest dog though, with Sako as a close second.

Either way though, I think it depends on the individual dogs personality, not just the gender. I've met a few males who I can't stand, and a few females that I loved. Just depends!

Bitches hands down.

Every male I've owned have been very derp and just plain dumb and disgusting (aka constantly licking their junk and their nasty green gunk).

I've owned mostly males but to be honest I'm extremely indifferent

I like females overall better than males...they just seem more into their owners, however, for a working dog, males are better, becuase of the size and the lack of heat cycles. However, most of times, it depends on the individual dog.

One of each here ... seems to be working okay. Kinda like yin/yang ... together they are everything.

This.

Lucy and Ethel definitely have more personality, and are generally very sweet girls (except when they're being bitches).

Damas and Taz are both pretty dumb, and weird. I like them, it's just that the girls seem to have more going on upstairs.

A young dog had an accident and needed a brain transplant. The veterinarian told the dog's human family, "Brains are very expensive, and you will have to pay the cost yourselves."

"Well, how much does a brain cost?" asked the family.

"For a male brain, $500,000. For a female brain, $200,000," replied the vet.

All the men in the family nodded because they thought they understood. But the mother was unsatisfied and asked, "Why the difference in price between male and female brains?"

"Standard pricing practice," said the vet. "The female brains have to be marked down because they’ve actually been used!".

I have had males and females. I honestly prefer females. I've never had any issues with my girls. But at the same time ALL of my girls have been spayed. I've had neutered and intacted males. And I can say I will own one; but I prefer females. My husband likes male dogs so we will always own one or more of each gender.

Absolutely dogs. I HATE having to deal with missed competitions because a bitch comes into heat (which is what I'm doing right now, damn it)

I prefer males but I really really know why.

I don't know why people say males can be a bit more dumb/derpy. My old male SBT was smart as a whip. Sunny, he is a big goof but I don't believe that's because of his gender, it's because of his personality and mix most likely.

I hate the hear cycles.

I do own a female and male and I've got quite a good bond with Serenity so I'm not against having a female around but my next dog, I'd like to e male.

I don't care as long as I don't have a specific plan for it and it can do it's job. My ideal pack if used only for hunting would be made up of spayed females.

Really no gross gunk for you guys?
I forget what it is but they get it just at the end of their junk some times, every male I've owned has had it.

As a general rule, I have always owned females, mainly because, in my case anyway, they were easier to train. However, that being said, I have to agree with Kady05 on the hard headedness of the females in my house now. Sheaba was my first dog and so easy to train (non bully mix breed). Maxx was such a gentle soul that would do absolutely anything to make me happy (also non bully mixed breed but looked so much like Sheaba, no way they were related as Sheaba came from Wyoming, and Maxx came from Tennessee).

Mollie had been hard headed without a doubt, however, Bella is the hard headed goofy one that is hard headed, but so freaking adorably goofy that there is no way you could get mad at her. Like when I wake Bella up to tell her to come get in her crate, she gives me this look because she doesn't want to get up, she looks at me, gives some "grumbling" (which I'm sure is cuss words in dog speak) and then she literally SLIDES off the couch backward. How can you get mad that she doesn't come on the first call when she cracks you up so much!?!?!

Cooper will do whatever I tell him and never seems to push the limits, so with the bully breeds, both my girls are much more hard headed than Cooper. But, in all honesty, I wouldn't change any of their personalities. They each may come with different quirks, but they also each hold a spot in my heart that will never fade long after they are gone.
