Default Color Preferences?
Since I haven't seen any threads like this I suppose I'll ask, what coat colors are your personal favorites in dogs?

I adore brindles, fawns, black and white, red, and tricolor dogs. Most blues I can't stand because they are so horribly bred and peddled. It makes me sick. SOME are not bad but it's a slim few. My very first dog was a black lab so I guess that is why I love them (the breed and coloring) Second was tricolor, third fawn and I just like the red coloration.

So what do you prefer?

Yeah, there are tons of threads like this LOL

I don't so much as have preferred colours as preferred patterns - I love brindle, tri-colour/tan pointed, and piebald.

Though I do really like black dogs, too!

Tan pointed is like a tri-colour, minus the white. Rottweilers and Dobermans are tan pointed breeds

^ Teal - unless you are from Canada or the UK, it's 'color' ... (sorry - I was thinking about that in bed last nite...)

Black is my favorite!!! Seal would be next and I also like a good deep red. Don't like most brindle. Blue tri is also striking to me.

I'm not really too particular on colors..if I like the dog, the color doesn't matter.

Everything but blue and merle. I wouldn't pay a red cent for a dog of either color unless it was a proven adult.

---------- Post added at 06:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:23 PM ----------

But I guess if I had to pick a favorite which I hate to do because color is the #1 LEAST IMPORTANT part of a dog... I guess I'd say black and tan, which stems from my love of Dobes I guess. I'm pretty fond of Abbey's color which is apparently a very deep/dark red fawn (thanks SevinSins).

I just wanted to say in Canada we say favOUrite, fibRE, theatRE, centRE, colOUr, neighbOUr, etc etc etc.

I like red w/white, seal, dark brindles, black w/tan points, and in all honesty I like blue, especially blue tri's. Will I ever own a blue dog? Probably not unless it's off Torque LOL! So no.

I also really love a deep chocolate.

I'm partial to darker colored dogs, simply because they don't look dirty as quickly, but color is a plus for me, not a selling pointExtremely not fond of merle patterning
