Default Need help.... Uncontrolled peeing?
So just tonite it seems like Luna cannot control going pee. She peed in the living room floor earlier, just a small spot and I immediately took her outside and she finish going pee. Then I had her sittin on the couch with us and I got up and she walked over to the pillow an just started peeing I caught her in th act and took her outside. Then i brought her in and had her in the kitchen, and she laid down in her bed and about 10-15 mins later i came back and she had peed a little in her bed. I could tell it wasnt like she intened to go pee because she always squats down, this wasnt alot but it was like she was moving when she peed and i think there was some on the floor. Well it is storming here and she isn't acting scared or anything but I have her blanket from he crate in the dryer so I had her with me on the couch and she was sleeping, well she woke up and just started shaking like she was really scared, so I let go of her and she went to lay wit husband and she just started uncontrollably peeing everywhere. But I'm worried because the other few times tonite she peed she wasn't acting scared or anything, and we had just been out within prolly 30 mins of her doing that.she hadn't drank any water in prolly the last 2-3 hours because I put her water up about 9 so she's not having to go to the bathroom all night. An it's just so weird bc she has never done that and if she has to pee shell whine at the back door (well like 95% of the time) and if she having an accident it's usually while we are playing and shell stop to pee, and this clearly wasn't the case tonite. What on earth could be wrong with her?!

Is she spayed? If she is it could be spay incontinence.

I'd take her to the vet. It could be a UTI.

I do plan on taking her to the vet tho. Now I'm debating if tonite instead of putting her in her crate if I should just put up the gate and let her stay in the kitchen in case he pees again that way sh doesn't pee all over her crate and on he blankets and have to lay there in it

I'd do whatever to prevent the pee from being a big problem for you. If it's less mess in the kitchen, put her in there.

The storm could have thrown her off a bit, it may be a simple thing that's spooked her or she's having a off night.

I'm hoping it was just the weather that threw her off. But yeah the kitchen is tile so if she pees on the floor it nothing to clean it up. I would just rather if she stays in there she's not forced to just lay there in her own urine.

yea I am thinking its either going to be the storm or a uti, with the shaking it could be pain from a uti or could be the storm, hard to tell. I hope you can get into the vet today.

Try and get a pee sample before you go to the vet so they dont charge you to put a cathader (sp?) in to get one.
Sound like a UTI ..

I'm going with some kind of bladder infection. I knew of a couple of pups that when they were young would squat so low to pee that their little baby vulva's would touch the ground, and they picked up a infection. As they got older and stronger they could squat better
Keep us informed!

The other signs could be blood in the pee. Or trying to go lots, but nothing comes out.
With the blood in the pee, next time she go's, have a paper towel with you and wipe her right afterwords. You might be able to see blood. Other wise the vet will check a sample.

And even though I'm still keeping her mostly in the kitchen today she hasn't still hasn't had anymore of te accidents. But still going to take her to the vet tomorrow just for precaution

Also try soaking her food in water and making a sloppy mix to make her drink more.
Or add some wet food.

I would take her in and get her checked out by the vet just to be safe. She could have a UTI. Hopefully it was just the weather throwing her off.

Yeah I am planning on taking her tomorrow and get checked out! She had another accident earlier, I had let her come into the living room with me and she peed on the floor when I was in the bathroom, and it's while she's walking, so it seems unintentional. And it does not seem to be excited peeing because there is quite a bit of pee and he does it when there is nothing exciting her, were just hanging out doing nothing particular. It's just unexpected, my hubby was laying on the couch and when I came back into the room he said she had an accident again, she wasn't sniffing or acting like she had to go or anything. Poor thing, I really hope she doesn't have a UTI, but then again if it is at least it's somethin treatable and explains what is going on

UPDATE: went to the vet today and everything came out good. I guess she must have just been scared that night of the storm. She did have worms so we are treating for that. But glad to know i have a good healthy puppy she weighs in at 15lbs at 11 weeks old
