Default suggestions
need a few suggestions. my pitbull has never had dog aggression. well that changed when i had him leashed and neighbors pom unleashed charged into my yard and attacked him. now whenever I have him out if a dog charges at him tail goes between his legs and he lunges at the other dog. I dont do dog parks not that stupid lol. I would just like to get him to stop trying to eat other dogs when were walking. any suggestions on how to calm this (other then letting him eat the neighbors pom)
Thanks

Does your dog know the "leave it" command? When my dog starts to zero in on another dog I tell her to "leave it" and 90% of the time that's enough to get her to divert her attention. But if the other dog is reactive, then the only thing I can do is get her out of the situation as quickly as possible.

I wouldnt say he is DA now but rather hes scared you need to show him that not everyone will attack him. You need to find his threshold and start below that point where he flips out. Start there and as dogs walk buy on leash feed him cookies when he pays attention to you and not the other dog.
