Ok, so, I need to know what people use to clean/soak up dog pee.
In my shed I have Lino so it's easy to clean up but what I'm using seems to take forever. I'll use paper towel but since Sunny makes huge pee puddles, it takes forever. I use rags as well but now I'm running out of them. Can anyone suggest anything useful?. I am hoping these tablets that I was told to give Sunny will stop this peeing but it it doesn't, then it's something more serious. I'll find out next week hopefully. |

Why would you use ammonia to clean up pee. Isn't that already in the pee? Just asking Didn't you ever watch "My Greek Wedding"? ... Windex works for EVERYTHING !!! |

Didn't see your post Joe.
I'll buy some more rags then. Sunny is the 5yo who has had a peeing problem over the past few months, It's a medical issue, so there isn't much I can do sadly regarding to toilet training. He has been toilet trained since 8 weeks. He's on tablets but if they don't work, it's more of a serious issue. So, it's not really his fault and I don't want to make him sleep outside. |

Not in your room silly. Take towels outside, spray them out amd then let them dry. Rags are rags Tahlz. Ya don't need to buy any. I use old t-shirts and like Kamdon, sometimes towels. After the rags and towels go through the wash ... you'd never know the difference. Anytime I'm cleaning up any spills, it a lot of water is included, I get my most/best absorbent towels and use those, then wash them with some bleach. IDK if you have it where you are,but Odoban works really well for the smell. Could you get puppy pee pads and set up a controlled area he can relieve himself, or is it completely out of his control? I'm so glad I posted this thread now. I got some good info. |

when you set up a pee pad, make sure you take a paper towel with his pee on it and rub it on the pad, this will help him know that he is supposed to pee on it, you wont have to do it every time but a few times should help. I use natures metrical and paper towels to clean up pee/poop since it takes the amonia up too and helps make is so the dog wont pee there again because they smell there pee

Is your dog doing this because she/he isn't housetrained? The dog should be on a stricter schedule.
In a crate all day minus schedule play time and potty breaks. This way if the dog has an accident chances are it's in the hard bottom kennel. When housetraining every 2 hours I say "let's go potty!" and take them outside. I also have my dogs on a water schedule. They get water AFTER they go pee. Usually 1-2 cups every hour or two throughout the day depending on how active they are that day. ---------- Post added at 09:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:38 PM ---------- OHshoot forgot to say... I use a product called OUT!, works like magic for us on carpet. We use cut up sweatshirts and then rinse them in hot water and then throw em in with a load of towels. |

Could you get puppy pee pads and set up a controlled area he can relieve himself, or is it completely out of his control? These also work great for soaking up accidents. We had some for Rosie because she would occassionally leak in the car. I didn't want Frankie using them, but they work great for absorbing wet spots. After I get up most of the moisture, I use a spray carpet cleaner and work that it. Works great. |
