Default Crayons...Toxic?
Say your dog got into a pack of Crayola crayons and ate like half a crayon. What kind of negative effects might that have on a dog, if any?

I take that back it was more than just half a crayon. I found the remains of blue and red behind the couch. So half of green, blue, and Red.

I'm hold hold waiting to talk to someone at the vets office.

Ok we're good. Never mind. Freak out over. Turns out they won't hurt her, just need to watch her and make sure she doesn't have any trouble passing stools.

Didn't think she would snatch the box of crayons right off the table like that and run. Definitely need to make sure she is gated in a separate area when the kiddo is coloring.

I think crayons are non-toxic. You may see some colorful poop though.

Yeah I know it says its non toxic on the box. didn't know if that applied to dogs or not. But I do now. Turns out I talked to my husband after I talked to the vet, and turns out sasha had a crayon 2 weeks ago when he was off of work and she was fine. So this wasn't the first time this happened

Colorful poos are usually the end result of that one, though if your dog ingests a large number of crayons, it may causes blockages and at that point it's vet time

Oh yeah Lily has eaten crayons, oil pastels, oil sticks.... um yeah, life with the art girl.
Before Scout came to me, she and Chico got into some acrylic paints..... had to cut a big hunk out of her fur to get it out. Bleh.
