After all the drama with Donna and her POS BF, Paul. Her, friend Mel, and friend Jim in. Kicked Jim out, kicked Mel out and then kicked the dogs out and told Donna she needed to move out, too. That's what the whole rant thread was about.
I found Petey a home and then Jim said he would keep Buddy. Not ideal, but better than the pound and I had no one interested and all the rescues are full. So, I get a call today that Buddy is now looking for a home again. Paul now wants Jim and Donna to move in with him, but no dogs. Jim gave his landlord notice today and has to be out before the 1st. Being that is New Years and the 31st is New years Eve, he will be moving out on the 30th at latest. The whole lot of them are fucking stupid!!! ![]() So, looking for a home for Buddy. He's between 4-5 years old. He is neutered, has his 3 year rabies and is fully house trained. He gets along with other dogs and dog-friendly cats. He is great with people and loves children. He knows sit, stay, roll over, sit pretty, lay down, off and he will roll over and play dead if you point and say "Pow Pow!" His only problem is he is a bit...fat. He was in emaciated condition when Donna got him and she just kept feeding and feeding him. He would be a very sexy fella with proper diet and exercise. |

Meh, the hubby is a professional. He is a truck driver by trade, so he is no stranger to long drives. We've known Buddy since he was about a year old when Donna and Frank took him in. He was such a mess physically and just so sweet and loving even after all he had been through! We're pretty attached, so a drive to see him in a permanent home is worth it to us.
---------- Post added at 06:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:01 PM ---------- Stupid death. If frank hadn't passed away last year Buddy would still have a good home. I miss Frank. ![]() |

Thanks, Sema.
I am just so frustrated. When I was looking for a home the first time last week, I got a call froma friend of a friend on Sunday that someone was interested. But Donna and Jim said they'd worked out a way to keep him. So I told the friend he was no longer available. I called back and asked if he was still interested, but he took in another dog already. Not like homeless Pit Bulls are uncommon. So, now I am back to square one. Humans suck. Paul has everyone move in, kicks them out, promises he will make sure the dogs are ok, kicks them out, and these idiots are moving back in with him? And making Buddy homeless again? Really? |

Everybody says that. He's cool as hell. There just seems to be a lack of market for older, fat, Pit Bull boys.
One of the gate security people at one of my husbands regular stops has 2 APBT and is trying to talk her mother in to taking him. I'm really hoping she succeeds. Waiting on word from her and still looking in case it doesn't happen. |

With my freaking luck I'll be hiding him at my place, pretending he and Rita are the same dog, until then.
![]() ---------- Post added at 09:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:58 AM ---------- The worst part for me personally is that I can't let loose on Donna about her idiocy nor can I threaten to break her arm if I ever see her with another pet because she is so unstable mentally that she'd probably just take him to the pound and say "I just couldn't handle it. You yelled at me. I didn't know what else to do. Waaaah." I told myself I will have a very long, very not nice, talk with her when Buddy is safe. |

I know how frustrating it can be. I know a girl who has had more dogs over the past five years that I've known her, than I can count. She has always been very unstable when it comes to having a place to live. She will make a friend, move in with them and get a new dog every freaking time, then when shit turns sour with the roomie (which it always does) the dog gets dumped. I know she loves animals and is a lonely person so I try not to be too hard on her. But a few summers ago,she got a generic pit bull type dog and let it get pregnant by her friends pit. I kind of lost it on her, that time. She just doesn't grasp that they are living, breathing beings and that they aren't disposable.
I fully understand that sometimes a person has no choice but to rehome a dog. But damn, you don't get rid of one, move into a new place then promptly turn around and get another one. ![]() |

The plot thickens.
I got a FB message from Petey's owner that he was hoping Donna could fine his rabies certificate. I told him i would go get it and bring it to him, partly because I wanted to pop in and see how Petey settled in. I also picked up Buddy's rabies certificate since I will be the one finding him a home. Since Donna lives close to Jim, I decided to stop by and talk to him about exactly how long Buddy had there. I wasn't clear from what Donna said if Jim may be moving in to Paul's a few days early or what. Turns out, Donna either lied her ass off or she is more mentally gone than I thought. Jim never told her he could keep Buddy and he never told her he was moving to Paul's house, either. She asked, he said he would keep Buddy until the 1st because that is when the landlord comes by to collect rent and the lease states no dogs, so Buddy had to be gone before the landlord came by. he said he would consider moving to Paul's, but did not give notice or anything like that. This totally explains why Donna told me Jim could keep him on Saturday and called Tuesday to say that I needed to either come get him or find him a home. Because she was either outright lying in hopes she could find a way to keep Buddy or she really is so brain screwed she honestly believed Jim would keep him for her until the mythical time when she, Jim, and Mel move into a new place together. I got a call from my sisters friend, Amanda, who does Pit rescue last night. She said she could foster him herself and that if she gets attached to him and he does well with her older female Pit, she would probably keep him because her husband fell in love with him when he saw the pics and video I sent her. I am supposed to call her this morning and arrange to go out to her house with Buddy to see how it goes. She live a 2.5 hr drive (one way) from me, but my husband isn't working today because of the holiday slow down, so we can make the drive. Pray he and the female like each other. |
