Hello, i am the owner of a beautiful 11 week old pit, my mom owns a rotty, witch is almost 2, and she plays rough, she will grab my pup by the neck and mop the floor with her, of course i stop her when she does it, but my puppy keeps wanting to play, the other day my puppy got to see her sister, who is also 11 weeks, and she wanted to play, but she was being too rough, biting her on the back of the neck, the same way my moms rotty does to her. I heard it is not good to let pits play rough like that, she is my first pit, i am still learning. Will she grow up and play rough like this? if so,how should i stop it?

Typical puppy behavior. Intervene when play time gets rough, if you don't, your pup will learn this is acceptable, and he may bite off more than he can chew one day. To protect everyone from getting hurt, and to avoid things getting out of hand, intervene when the older dog starts getting rough. It is up to you to teach the older dog how to be gentle with the pup, and it will be up to you to supervise the dogs playtime at all times.

Pit Bulls do everything with their whole being. Including playing. I have 4 dogs total. 2 3 year olds, 1 1.5 year old and a 6 month old. They commonly gnaw on each other and play very rough including vocalizing. I don't mind it as they are just playing. If things start to look like they are getting too intense I simply stop play for a few minutes until they calm down a bit and then let them resume. After doing this consistently for a while they pretty much self regulate and I rarely have to get involved now.
