Default Just to smart!
Today as I was relaxing in my lazyboy I was watching brantly play, he was chewing on a little stuffed animal. The next thing I know he gets up walks to his kennel, gets in side if it uses his mouth to pull the door shut and lays inside of it and falls asleep for about 30 minutes, he gets out and I took him out side to use the potty. It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen him do.

LOL sounds like my boy, Ruger! If he gets in trouble and I tell him to go to his crate, he'll paw open the door then mouth it closed behind him hahaha

Sounds like your boy wanted some alone time to rest, and he was making sure he got it!

When Ike was a puppy I was told to crate him and use a routine so that he would know crate time was time to sleep and not cry so much.

My routine was to turn off all the lights, lock the doors, tell Ike "Bedtime!", take him to the crate, put him in, cover it while saying "Goodnight. See you in the morning."

One night when he was about 4 months old I was in the bathroom when I said "Bedtime!". I came out of the bathroom and couldn't find him. I went into my room and there he was, trying his best to get onto the bed.

Being a sucker, I let him sleep with me. If he figured out "Bedtime" means go to sleep on the actual bed then I guess I could share it with him.

Now it's worse because he sleeps with us almost every night. If we decide to stay up later than usual and miss our normal bedtime he will stand by the stairs and bark at us. If we tell him we're not going to bed yet he will chuff, huff, sigh and go to sleep on the nearest couch, lol.

Izzy will do similar to what Ike does but she will just go upstairs and cry or scratch at the door if I open it she will just put herself to bed early.
