Default Frustrated!
Jay Jay isn't dog aggressive, but he turns into a spaz because he wants to play soo bad. My fear is, if he ever got loose, people would mistake his playing for aggressiveness. He's never off the leash for this reason and is getting very good at maintaining composure when we walk past other people with their dogs.

What really annoys the hell out of me is situations like last night. On our 3 mile walk we encountered FIVE (5) loose dogs who ran up to him and tried playing..all of them smaller than him. The owners nonchalantly walking up and saying "come on, (insert name)." What if my 80+ lb pit bull/ mastiff was DA? Or, what if he plays too aggressively with the smaller dog( which he does). We had no option but to stop and I'd pick up his front legs and hold him while he attempted To go nuts as this dog jumped on him. why can't people put their dogs on a damn leash?! Rant over.

People are stupid. All you can do is take care of your dog and keep him leashed and under control at all times. If you keep thinking about the shitty owners out there and the rampant stupidity of the human population, you'll end up with high blood pressure like me.

If you find out the answer, please enlighten the rest of us. The only thing I can think of is the 'it won't happen to me' mentality that some people have.

Duh, because ALL dogs just want to play! That's why dog parks are the greatest thing EVER!

/end sarcasm.

Because people are friggin MORONS. It doesn't even OCCUR to them that anything could go wrong.

Isn't it fun. I have a technique. I stare daggers at the person, and TELL them, ORDER THEM, not ASK them, to grab their damn dog NOW. I must be good at it because they always do.

What Zoe said plus you might mention leash laws if your area has them. If the people on your walks continue to allow their pets to free roam, I wouldn't be adverse to calling animal control and explaining the situation.

No doubt. Whippin' out a cell phone and fake dialing might get their asses moving along...
