Not at all! Here's his pedigree: D'Cash of NorCals - American Bulldog

I'm going to try to make it to the Enfield, CT show in June. It's two weeks before the trial that I'm planning on doing Dezzy's BH, so it will depend on how ready we are for that.
Thats literally just down the road from me! I'm in WIndsor Locks

I'm so sorry that I missed you! What kind of lead/collar do you recommend?

Thanks, everyone! We both need a LOT of ring training!

He didn't finish this weekend. If I calculated it correctly, he has 5 points and two competition wins left.

Default UKC Conformation, just wingin' it!
Just call me crazy.

I'm going to participate in my first conformation show with Cash in Westfield, MA on April 30th (and maybe the second day as well, depending on how he does).
United Kennel Club: Upcoming Events

Cash is a total blockhead, doesn't know how to stand still, and I'm a total nut case for doing this, but... I guess we'll learn and maybe the judge can look past our complete lack of experience and judge him on his merits. Exceptional temperament, gorgeous structure, etc.

We're probably going to be the only ABD in the show, so we're going to need a miracle to place in the group ring!

He's very nice, don't sell yourself short. There used to be a few AB's showing in MA, CT, NY when UKC first recognized them, and they often did well in group. I won't be at the MA show, but I'm judging the weight pull in CT in June, and there should be plenty of people there who could help you w/stacking and moving advice.
I would think Maude Tank would like him, she's got a good eye for a functional dog.
Do you mind my asking how he's bred?

You'll do great I've only been to one show, and it was a UKC one. Had a lot of fun, everyone was really nice.

And don't worry, I have no clue what I'm doing and plan on taking Sako to some shows once he turns 6 months.. it should be interesting.

Ah, you got him from area I've seen the owner of that kennel do decoy work at Truehaus Kennels, and watched his OB with one of his female American Bulldogs. He complimented my dog, I was flattered haha.

Yeah, WHATEVER! You're taking handling classes with him, though!

Don't get me wrong, I know how to stack a dog. He just doesn't know the whole show thing, and although I've attended conformation shows, I've never been a participant.

I'm going to pick him up this Friday from my mom's house and keep him here for the week leading up to the show. Hopefully a crash course in "don't move a damn muscle" will work! Oh, and I'm told that young bulldogs tend to gallop like idiots in the ring as opposed to gaiting, so we'll work on that as well.
