So one of my fellow advocates was tagged in a photo on Facebook. It was a photo of two ugly, genetic nightmare AmBullies. Like a train wreck, I could not look away and clicked to get a better look. I read some of the comments. Someone pointed out that they were all for "Bullies" and the separation of them into their own breed. He pointed out that they were infact not "real pit bulls," as that was the website printed under the soon to be dam.
The "breeder" had this to say. -insert headache- Real Collars LLOYD, THE PITBULLS OF TODAY ARE TAKING BACK THEIR ORIGINAL LOOK AS WHEN THEY WERE 1ST INTRODUCED AND THEY ARE EVOLVING. THEY LOOKED MORE LIKE BULLDOGS, WHICH WERE THE REALPITBULLS TO ORIGINATE. THEN PEOPLE STARTED BREEDING THEM TO DALMATIONS TO GET KINDNESS, TO TERRIERS TO GAIN GAMENESS, BASICALLY TO EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO GETTHE PROPER SMART, AGILE AND GAME DOG THEY WANTED. YOU GOTTA LEARN ABOUT THE BREED BRO. THIS IS BACK THEN WHEN THE COLBYS AND THE TUDORS WERE AROUND. GAMENESS WAS THE SUBJECT. WELL, IT TURNED AROUND ON THEM, CAUSE NOW WE HAVE THE LAWS THAT DONT WANT THE GAME DOGS, BUT THANKS TO THE WAY WE ARE PUSHING THE PITBULLS/BULLIES, WITH A MORE CALM ATTITUDE WE CAN STOP IT. I OWNED MY 1ST PITBULL IN 1989 FROM CASEY COUTIER THE OWNER OF WATCH DOG KENNELS AND THEN I OWNED HEINZL/COLBY DOGS, DIRECTLY FROM THE SOURCE. DONT THINK I STARTED LAST NIGHT BRO, LOL. |

You know, I see that excuse all the time. That these people are trying to produce "pit bulls" that fit into today's society better than yesterday's Pit Bulls. If you don't like what the breed is, get another one and leave this one alone. Don't try to change it.
I will never understand why these people don't get a bullmastiff, cane torso, English bulldog, AST, boxer, American bulldog, whatever instead. Oh yeah, that's right. They want to able to say they have a pit bull. They want the image, not the dog. |

I just feel bad for the dogs...and the bullshit that's blowing up with kids. Everyday I have to change the topic because I have some wannabe gang bangers in my class teling me that my dogs are weak excuses for pit bulls even though I told them from the beginning they were mutts. Charlie is 60 lbs...what kids see today are those exact genetif freaks and that what they want. They also brag about their "pit" being human aggressive....sad

My troll response would be "umadbro?"
Also, as to what ZeeAvi is saying, I totally get that. I'm in my second English Comp class with the same teacher I had last semester. She knows my love for the APBT. And today I had the first chance to bring it up. We had a group assignment so we moved around and when I returned to my desk, a girl was using it, she was like, "oh sorry!" and quickly moved off of it and I was like, "hey man it's cool, it's a big desk we can share," and she was like, "oh well you have pit bulls I don't wanna mess with you!!" I was like "...... wat?" |

Oh ya....... look at the comparison. It's like lookin' in a mirror. ![]() Unfortunately, the breeder the OP quoted is doing a great disservice the responsible people that own and breed Am Bullies. I am sure they are none too pleased about the ignorance. |
