Default Another pitiful, sweet puppy showed up on our door step...
We've named this little girl Pokey. Despite her pathetic condition, she's as sweet as can be.

Thats such a sad sight. I'm not sure if I want to cry or hunt her irresponsible owner and smack them til the breathing stops.

I hope she has a speedy recovery and finds a good home.

Oh my gosh!! that makes me want to cry People are so cruel to treat a dog that way. Are you going to keep her or do you work with a rescue? You're an angel for taking her in.

Or fleas/flea allergy. I have seen them lick/chew themselves raw like that from flea sensitivities too...

I am so glad she found her way to you. That dog is in poor condition. Thank you for stepping up for her.

Yep, my husband was messing with the feral cat trap and he turned around and she was just standing there. Literally, every other house in our neighborhood is breeding "pit bulls." We see strays on a regular basis. In fact the lowcost spay/neuter clinic I worked at fixed 3 pit bulls from my block today through an organization that offers assistance and transportation. Once we get her healthy, she'll be up for adoption through Atlanta Bully Rescue. She is just as sweet as she can be.

I agree with brindlexpitt, I think she's been sitting on concrete. Her little butt is rubbed raw right where she sits and her bones stick out. It's hard to look at

She also has some strange injuries on her ankles. It looks like they were chewed on. They look like puncture wounds, but it's a strange place since they're only on her legs and it's all 4 of them in the exact same place. She has one on her face but that's it. I'm wondering if she got tangled in something that she tried to chew off and maybe that's why she's so under weight? Who knows...

Your doormat says "SUCKER"!!! She definitely chose the right house in that neighborhood! I think she will be gorgeous once you get her all fixed up.

Look at those sweet chocolate eyes.

(And for a second there...I thought there was a random woman on a phone in your house giving her baby something over a baby gate.....until I realized it was a baby gate box - lol)

Haha I actually thought the same thing and had to go back and look at the picture after you pointed that out.

It's so sad that she's in the condition she is, but thankfully she ended up at the right house. I'm sure once she's back to a better weight and health she'll make somebody very happy.

Me three. I didn't realize it WASN'T until someone pointed it out...

And here I was thinking the whole time "I don't know if it's such a good idea to have an unknown dog in the same room as a toddler..."

Shame on me. lol
