I take mine with. If I truly can't, I have friends take them in.

No boarding kennels. Ever.

We do not go out of town that often but when we do we have house sitters. It would be way expensive to board them.

I rarely get to leave town.

If it's somewhere within a couple of hours of my house, and I know I'll be gone longer than 8 hours, I take them with me.

Last time I went out of town on vacation, I took them with me. The time before that, I had a friend I trust a great deal watch them.

The friend is far cheaper than a kennel or boarding facility, and she doesn't mind me calling every 4 hours, and demanding pictures. She watched them for 3 days for $100. That's a damn good deal.

But, if I have a choice I take them with me. Sure, they're cramped on the car ride, but they like going places.

I don't go out of town

It's becoming sort of an issue. My hubby wants to, but I have heart palpitations when I think of it. I just can't imagine leaving them.

If you're going past Michigan, drop them off here, for a steep fee.

I simply don't go anywhere I can't take the dogs. My family gets pissed about it when I miss important gatherings, but I don't have anyone I trust and I like my dogs more than most of my relatives, so..yeah.

You can also bring them here for a steep fee. I want to dye Ike with Kool Aid. Big purple patches. Or I can do what I did with my friend's mom's JRT, and dye "kill whitey" on her with Kool Aid.

They go to my mom's. If for any reason my mom couldn't take them, I'd try to get one of my friends to. But honestly it would be better if they went to a kennel.
They're is a kennel at a hospital near my house that has ginormous kennels, they get 5 walks a day, and I can pay for extra play sessions.
Now, I'm an incredibly skeptical person when it comes to kennels, as I've worked in the worst of them, but I really like this place. If I ever had to leave the dogs and no one could watch them, I'd take them there.

That place is $30/night. It's worth it to have them in a secure place, with easy access to medical care, and they can even get walked together.

I wish i was lucky enough to take my doggies.

If i leave over night my doggies either go with a friend or I trust the staff my my shelter to pamper them and they go their over night (kinda the only perk of being shelter mamanger).

I use to board them but the last time i did they came home reeking of urine and feces. MY vet charges an arm and a leg to board for 4 large dogs

At work, we charge $14 a night for big dogs, and $11 for small. If you have two large dogs, you can choose to kennel them together and there is only one charge for both dogs. Same for small dogs in the small kennels.

I'm lucky that I have so much family close by that likes my dogs, lol!

I hate it when I can't take them with me, and I usually try to find any way possible to be able to bring them along.

People go out of town?

IF we went anywhere and couldn't take the dogs, there is a really nice private boarding faculity that they'd go to. Not sure how that'd go over tho. Nick doesn't like us to leave, even for work.

I hear that. Gypsy positively pines when I leave her at home.

In fact, the only times she's had seizures is when I've left her home for a few hours. Then when I get home, she gets so excited she short circuits. (Don't get me wrong, I have a complete freak out when she does it and I *hate* it when it happens to her, but it is kind of humorous that she only does it when I leave her home.)
