Speak out for our breed now! and pass this along. 107.5 asked the question ..."Thomasville woman is savagely attacked and had her dog killed by a pitbull. Should Pitbulls be outlawed?"

This took place in our town and this is the story....The lady was walking her dog when a "pit Bull" broke his chain and attacked the ladies dog, the lady went to pick her dog up and then she got bit. Now I hate it for the lady and her dog, it is clearly a case of irresponsible owner on the APBT owners part.

This radio station bashes APBT every chance they get so this morning they posed up the question. I thought it would be a good opportunity for them to get some education on the breed.

A caller called in and stated that he was a responsible owner and Murphy says "We are not worried about the responsible owner" Does he not see that by banning the breed it effects us the responsible owner?

So the dog broke a chain somehow and attacked the dog not the lady. The lady got stupid and got bit trying to break up the fight? Must have been a pretty weak chain. And a friend turned enemy lives there. He had a pitbull one time here in Waco tx

Just get all the responsible owners to march their apbt's to the station and show them how good these dogs are but on 2nd thought that might lead to fights

Q 100 here in georgia bashed the pitbull a couple of months ago. It all started with a ignorant comment based on a guys experience at the dog park. Public media shouldn't talk about shit they know nothing about. The worst part was the people that called in on the pitbulls side. We just got to keep educating. Keep up the good fight.

A morning radio station in my town also bashed APBT and instead of getting upset over it (and I was planning on writing a letter to them) I decide to just not listen to their station anymore.

I just get too angry at people who spout ignorance nonsense. Which is why I try to not watch the news anymore or CNN or anything like that anymore - ignorance just really gets me seriously angry, so I have to avoid it as much as possible; so politics are something I avoid.

I choose to take a stand, if we just ignore the problem then that is when BSL has an open door to step in. Trust me it makes me angry but I cannot just ignore the issue. I think it is time for us as owners to stand up to the bad media and educate them a little and at best let them know there are responsible owners out there that are not going to sit idle and let them bash our breed.

I do take a stand; every time BSL comes up in my area, I write a well constructed letter to the council people who make those decisions (I just wrote a letter to a near by city that just purposed BSL and I'm planning to attend the council meeting when they vote on this).

The difference between council members and a morning radio station is that a morning radio station is doing things for ratings. I don't know about you, but some of the radio stations in my area are pretty "out there". My favorite one is an alternative rock station that is running a contest right now; you enter your phone number and if they call you and you say PENIS! you win a thousand dollars.

Honestly, I'm not interesting in trying to make the PENIS radio station see things from my perceptive. There are some people who wont change their minds about anything; it's like arguing with a fundamentalist. At some point, you have to pick and choose your battles. I'd rather put my passion into speaking directly with council members or writing letters than arguing with some douchebag on some radio station; cause here they can be REAL douchers, so it's not really worth it.

Just now one of the guys on Q100 said being attacked by a pack of pitbulls is terrifying. Comments like that are continuing to keep those myths in peoples heads. The only reason I still listen is because its the only descent morning radio and I need something to keep me awake.

Well, it is pretty much your choice! I choose to take a stand because even thought the station maybe ignorant they have 1,00000 that listen and read these things on facebook in the case, so if I get the opportunity through their ignorance to educate just one then that is awesome.

This topic is to allow others to voice their options to the radio station if they feel the need, not to say why they do not feel they should. Funny how others can take a stand on why they don't want to vote (yes or no) to a radio station that posed the question online if "pit bulls should be outlawed" but can't just give a simple yes or no vote to the webpage.....I never ceased to be amazed.....

O and meant to add a big thanks to the many that have voiced their opinions this radio station, thanks for taking a stand for our breed after all we are the only voice they have!
