I found the above thread on a message board that is primarily German Shepherd-based. A woman was out on Halloween, and when she returned, someone had chained a blue "pit bull" to her fence. Obviously you can tell, he's probably AmBully with flea dermatitis. She is in desperate need of finding a rescue group around Columbus, OH or someone willing to drive to come get this boy. Here is a brief rundown of what she had to say about him (take the information that she has as "suggestions" as the dog is not hers ![]() Solid blue color with white chest and toes, very athletic body, no fighting scars anywhere, looks like maybe from show bloodlines, huge head and neck, maybe 18-19 inches tall at shoulder, natural ears. Super sweet, affectionate, happy loving dog. Although he has a athletic body he does not seem to be hyper at all, he is not a barker nor is he trying to escape. He is intact and he does have fleas really bad, he has rubbed hair off of his back and is constantly itching. At first we thought he was around 2-3 years old, but he may be younger as he is still squatting to pee. Trying to find a rescue who can take him in immediately, he is currently on a tie-out outside with a doghouse, food and water. but he cannot stay. We have not attempted to see how he does with other animals, so no idea if he is good with other pets or not. We're in Ohio, Ohio laws declare all pitbulls to be dangerous so nearly all shelters here will PTS all pitbulls that come in, this boy is far too nice to let that happen to him. I am already contact all ohio rescues I can find that rescue pits to see if any can take him. But if there is any individual here who can rescue him, or perhaps transport him out of Ohio to a rescue that can take him then please, please, please call me now. Phone number is 614-497-2614 |

Hi,
Try Measle'sAnimal Haven, Dublin, Ohio fax: 614-734-6784. They take Pit Bulls. I have been looking at an older male there. They took in part of the group of 200 that were rescued in Ohio. If they are full maybe they could direct to someone who will take him. I would take him but I live outside of Pittsburgh. Hope this helps. He is a beautiful looking dog. ---------- Post added at 11:08 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 AM ---------- [QUOTE=katie's mom;805973]Hi, Try Measle'sAnimal Haven, Dublin, Ohio fax: 614-734-6784. There is the Bark Ark Bully Rescue in Cincinnati - not sure how since "pitbulls" are banned there. Here is their website: Welcome to Bark Ark Bully Rescue
