Prefer that they didn't have a show about the APBT - makes them "popular" so that more irresponsible people want to go buy one...

Ditto,...I'll be watching. Instead of saying its how you raise them, they'll probably say that they need a strong and knowledgeable or dog savvy owner. Like they do with Rottweilers, Akitas and other head strong breeds

I respectfully have to disagree. Some of the breeds they are very factual and non-biased; however, for several of the breeds, they are subjective with their statements, paint an incorrect picture, and make some of the dogs seem like they're not much work at all.

I became disgusted with the show when they did an entire show about "doodles" and "poos" and promoting them. I also rolled my eyes when they did a show on Dalmatians and showed an online acquaintance's Dalmatian with a red filter on the screen snapping and lunging at a toy saying how aggressive and dangerous they can be. *sigh* For German Shepherds, they said they come in black and tan, black, and "in recent years" solid white. What about Sables?

I have a feeling the show will be "it's all in how they're raised" and "everyone can own a pit bull."

I'm going to sit this one out and read feedback. It really irks me to see 'pit bulls' on tv, and I have no doubt that this will be the same.
I agree with mstngchic, I'd rather they stay off tv, for good. Like I've said before, the only way to really educate is to get out there with your dog and show REAL people, not tv watchers, what your dog is. Then and only then can you explain the facts, and explain it's NOT all in how you raise them.

I do not like this show... Esp. since they started covering 'designer dogs' and making them out to be an amazing mix of two breeds' qualities - NO SHIT! Go to a shelter and get one!
Not once did they just mention they're only mutts... No, they made them out to be superdogs.

They also say things that are completely off.. They like to hype things up, and I about gagged when I saw the one of GSDs.

I'll be surprised if they show a real APBT.

I can almost appreciate AP for trying to do what they think is good and shed positive light on the breed, but they're doing it WRONG and giving misinformation most of the time..

Here's the video from Animal Planet in case you don't want to wait:

P.S. Be ready for "it is ALL in how they are raised" and "this dog can snap, and it has snapped..."

Just watched it, wasn't horrible but not an accurate representation of the breed imo. I dont like the way they portray them as unpredictable, and sometimes DA is not controllable even if they are well socialized. And they could have mentioned that HA is very uncommon, but of course thats to much to ask

Yeah, there was a bunch of misinformation, though, at least, they said the breed isn't for everyone. At the same time, they downplayed the fact that DA is common, and said something about "If you push them into fighting..." or something like that.

Yeah, they made it sound like they only way they won't be HA is if you socialize them right, but even if you aren't the best socializer, if you have a well balanced dog, it won't become HA.
