You didn't give us your dogs name or how you made that choice.
I named Rocco after St. Roche ( Rocco in Italian); he's got a very interesting story. He's the catholic ' patron St. of dogs and according to his biography which he wrote at the end of his life while imprisoned, as a young orphan Roche had traveled to Pisa in Italy during the time of the Bubonic plauge to care for plauge victims, when he contracted the disease himself he was banished from the city. He was too ill to care for himself, and a dog brought him scraps of food each day, until the dogs master followed the dog to see where he was taking the food, found Roche, and brought him home and cared for him until he recovered. I also think it's a cool name, if I didn't I'd have made another choice |
