I think her ears are just fine. I guess everyone has an opinion and your neighbor expressed theirs. Its your opinion that matters, though.

Tyson sure is a cutie with those bat ears! I lol'd. Thats amazing since the coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

Since Athena is still a pup I wouldn't worry too much about her having a couple extra pounds. How long/far do you walk her in a day? Since you mentioned a leg problem I would be a bit cautious about working her too hard unless the vet says its ok. But nice brisk walks are a gentle way to exercise.

Yup, what they think is ugly I think is beautiful.

Well how far we walk varies. Athena is one lazy pooch! I seriously have never met a terrier than wants to sleep, cuddle, lounge around more than her. However I like to get her out about 2 times a day for about a 20 minute brisk walk. I had tried to do three times a day but my night she would be limping so I stopped that. I've talk to the vet about it and they said she still needs time before anything strenous, and sadly weightpull is not in Athena's future, but to start very slowly building her up. The one thing that gets Athena up and running is fetch. She's a crazy fetch pup and will go pyscho to get her toy thrown and luckily we have a nice big back yard I'm going to start working her out more. I've been wondering about getting a harness and some weights to maybe help her out with losing some chub.
