Default Some Notch News
So, I didn't want to say anything till I knew what was up.

When the vet came to do a check-up and heartworms test on everyone, she noticed that one of Notch's testicles were much bigger than the other (which it had not been in the past). She told me that I need to get it checked out or just get him neutered and send it off to make sure it wasn't cancer. So, Stan and I talked it over, and decided that it was best to just get him neutered and find out what was going on.

We brought him in July 5th, and he was neutered. On my way to PA, July 9th, they called me and told me that they got the results back, and he was cancer free (thank God). They just said that he had more fluid built up in the one for some reason.

So, then Stan calls me about four days later saying that Notch was swollen and hot down there, so, he brought him off to the Vet to check on him. They kept him for the day and the swelling went down. So, they gave Stan an antibiotic for Notch, and now the swelling and all is down, and Notch is fine.

He looks kind of strange with just a "saggy" sack now. lol. However, Notch is his same old self. No different at all, though, he hasn't tried to hump Tess or Locus since he's been neutered, so, that has been one very big positive. lol.

Just wanted to let you all know what was up.

Notch just after he got home, he was still a little 'drugged up" on July 5th.

Notch wearing his cone. lol. He hated this thing.

For all his efforts, I put on his new collar. lol.

Glad everything turned out ok! (besides his now saggy sac lol)
It likes like he was not very amused by your cone efforts. The 1st pic of him in his cone he's saying "I will get you back for this *cackle*".

Yeah, when I took the photo, Stan said "Yeah, Notch first she took away your balls, and now she is going to post those photos of you for all to see. It's okay to bite her." lol. Of course, Notch licked me. lol.

Poor guy! I'm glad he was cancer free and will be better soon... even if you did humiliate him!

When I had Cooper neutered, he came home and still looked like he was intact.... it's been a few weeks now, and he has more of the raisin look than a grape, but it still looks funny. I haven't had a male dog that didn't have long hair, ever, so I'm not used to seeing "that".

I had Rocky neutered 2 years ago. He still humps Daisy when shes in heat, and has twice knotted with her. once requiring him to go to the vet and have his penis put back in his sheath.
Now thats a game dog! he won't quit humpin'!

Whew! I am so happy your boy is healthy!

Poor Notch, being humiliated on the internet! I do that every chance I get to my dogs and kids, though

The "mud flap" will diminish in time. I got Ike neutered at 15 months and the skin is barely noticible 8 months later. Its a lot more pleasant to look at then the huge testicles he had in there, I can tell ya!

Poor baby! I'm glad all is well and he is coming along.

And yeah...all things considered...I'd give him 1 "get out of jail free" bite pass.
