Default Dogs can't help imitating us?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38446579?GT1=43001

Found this on another forum and thought to post it here. If this is really true I now know why Ike acts like the hubby and Rita acts a lot like me. Can't wait to see who Owen imitates.

On a recent episode of the Dog Whisperer that I watched Cesar said that the female dog in the house was imitating the energy and behavior of the households women. Makes me wonder if dogs also copy the behavior of the same gender humans they live with.

Sasha can be a real b*tch sometimes so maybe. Just kidding and that wasn't being very nice to either Sasha or myself.

From day one my husband said that Sasha and I were two peas in a pod. We are very similar in personality. Its like she was supposed to be my dog. Now I don't know if that is just her personality she was born with or if she is imitating but she's the best either way.

I always say Harley and my hubby are the same. Both look intimidating to people who dont know them but if you give them a chance they are big babies on the inside. Both laid back and easy going (though I'm more the one who likes to just sit around and relax which is all Harley but also FIL who we live with lol). Funny how that works. The one dog I thought Harley would fight if I let him get close enough was a nut case just like its owner too, hyper spaztic loony kind of person and the dog mirriored it perfectly and Harley didnt like it (can't say I did much either) LOL

Sinead is much nicer than me. Mick's the demanding asshole, but I do have a boyish charm, so maybe it is true.

I'd have to say that my Doberman is imitating me perfectly. When I finally get something I want, I'll gloat about it. Say when she gets a toy out of your grip while playing tug of war, she'll squeak it like crazy in front of you to let you know she has it. She is also a very persistent little shit who doesn't know what it means to leave you alone. Just like me. I do irritate some people on purpose, mainly my bf and she'll do the same thing, Like coming up to him and just barking at him because she can. LOL
