I live in a middle size town in Michigan about 20 min. from Ann Arbor where I work. There's a far amount of dogs, especially on the road I live on that are out walking everyday all day. It's a nice town and I take Buddy walking every evening for about an hour, hour and a half. Some days I put the kids in the wagon, pull them behind me and have buddy on the leash. It's pretty funny seeing the reactions.
Anyways is it just me or does it seem like when your out walking with your dog your eyes are constantly pealed for people walking there dogs? I'm constantly looking ahead down the sidewalk, making sure I can see around corners, etc. Especially if I'm in town sitting on the bench or the kids are playing. Instead of enjoying everything, I'm constantly looking around to advert any flare ups. Buddys not completely DA just selectively and it's not so much I'm worried about him, it's making sure other people don't catch me making a mistake or risking looking like I'm not in control of my dog. I'm not complaining, I wouldn't have Buddy any other way. Just curious if others do this too. |
