Default GA: Pit Bull FOUND
Pit Bull found this evening in Powder Springs, Georgia. Owner must identify sex, color, distinguishing characteristics, and provide a photo of the dog before release. Because of its found location (Paulding County,) it will not be going to the pound but may be released into the temporary custody of a pit bull rescue.

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone's missing a NICE Pit Bull, please PM me.

We still have the pit bull here at the house. We're trying to limit the information we give out due to its breed. We had several people approach us after getting her out of traffic asking if we wanted to sell the dog

After its first night, we believe the dog is someone's housedog (or just REALLY wants to be a housedog!) When it goes outside, it potties and wants to come back in the house.

We kept it in our daylight basement last night since we don't know anything about it, and our two knuckleheads just got home from a week of boarding so are rip-roaring hyper. The dog didn't potty in the house, and when I got up this morning, it came running upstairs, went outside, peed, and came back inside down to its daylight basement as if to say, "okay....now what?"

The dog is quiet. It hasn't barked since we picked it up out of the street last night.

I've been scouring online looking for any ads with people who lost a pet. I put "found" ads on Craigslist, Petfinder, AJCExchange, an outdoors forums where there are several pit owners in this area, and on here. If anyone can point me in the direction of any posts from people in this area that may have had a dog stolen (this dog very well could be,) that'd be great.

I was telling South Atlanta Bullies that at the moment, we're basically doing "crate and rotate" on a large scale (while our dogs are out, the pit bull is downstairs. When the pit bull is downstairs, ours are crated in their room.)

I will PM you pictures of the dog. We're just trying to be as cautious as possible with posting pictures online.

This dog very well could have been stolen by the same people.

I sent an e-mail to a friend of mine that is a UKC breeder, "show"er, and judge who also lives in this area to see if someone is missing a dog.

GREAT NEWS! Her owner came and picked her up this morning. He described every last detail about her to a "t," and I knew as soon as he said, "blue fawn" that we had his dog. She scooted out by accident when someone opened the door. Sure will miss her, but I'm glad she found her owner. She saw his truck coming into the neighborhood from our back deck and couldn't wag her tail harder

FWIW: We told the owners that if they ever needed a petsitter, they know where we live Couldn't have asked for a better dog. For a dog that was picked up on the highway, brought to a new home, etc. SO well-mannered and polite (She "slurps" cookies through her mouth )
