Default I have changed my mind! :)
Some of you may recall the "debate" over whether or not I was getting the right pup for me. Well, now I KNOW that I am, because I have changed my mind!

Here is the new dam:
URO1 UWPO UWPCHX GRCH'PR'DelmarvasJhnsns Wish On A Star, CGC aka Star
JOHNSONS KENNEL | home to top-notch akc american staffordshire terriers & ukc american pit bull terriers

and the sire: CH'PR' Easystreak's Soldier of Rvnlft .43/.49 PENN Hip

(sire's sire) Ravenloft Kennels - Crash
(sire's dam) PR GODDESS OF THE SUN | Pitbullzone Pedigree There's a lot more to the pedigree, BTW, it's just not showing up.

Puppies are due June 14, so it's a shorter wait, BUT.. they're all the way out by Springfield, MO, which is a 14-15 hour drive. BUT- WELL WORTH IT!!!

I'll be co-owning the 3rd pick female, which means that they co-own till she's titled, and get 2nd pick off litter(s). It's also $900 cheaper, lol. But for a first show dog, I'd appreciate the attachment, because I'll need the help!

Sorry for the TP, but as the song goes, I'M SO EXCITED!

Thank you both.. I'm jsut happy I'm not compromising on health testing, as the former breeding I had chosen was with 2 GRCH that weren't tested at all for hips or anything. It was nice that they were less than an hour away, though. LOL

I'm co-owning, yes, and if she ever has pups, they get 2nd pick. I have to title and test her before she is bred. Check out their contract, it's very particular.

the co-own is up when she's titles and tested, though there remains a contract for 2nd pick. At least that's how I understand it at this point. There are a few co-owned dogs listed on the site, so She's done this before, and I'd highly doubt she'd screw me over.

Of course, I will review any/all contracts before purchase. There are a few details I'm sketchy on still, but I won't be going into this blind.

Thanks for pointing out issues you've had/seen, though.

good luck, theyre pretty parents. i'd say fly the pup, but its gonna be hot in Missouri come august. makes it tough to get a dog on a plane

Generally with co-ownership if the dog can't title the non breeder owner just gets to keep it as a pet.

From all of the co-ownerships I have seen yes you have to fix the dog if it isn't breeding worthy but then you get to keep it.

I did wonder how much shipping would cost, because it's about $300 in gas to drive out there. BUT- I really want to see Star, and meet with the breeder in person. Also, because we have family in Indiana, it'd also be a social visit for us It's a 4 hour drive from family to the breeder's house.

It's funny that the last time we went to Indy, we came back with Monster the min pin. lol. Go to Indy, bring back a dog!!! It's EXTRA fun driving back with a puppy, but we made it fine with Monster, so it should go just as smoothly with "Rocket."

(Like the name? I'm thinking Johnson's Fire in the Sky, call "Rocket")

Well if you are going to attend shows and other events surrounding the breed the travel is a must, so used to it

So...are they supposed to be pit bulls or Amstaffs...I notice the kennel has both. Or are they dual registered?

They are gorgeous Amstaffs.
